The Rishou Case Closed?

Wolverine, Laura, and someone killed Rishou Okay I shot him with the gun from the Crime Bible case. But Batman was not a happy camper. “We didn't come here to commit murder Question."


“Wolverine didn't do it, he tried but he didn't succeed Bruce, the one who gained vengeance is far above our judgment now."

“What is that supposed to mean?" Batman asks.

“Shi’s ghost gained her vengeance on the psycho that killed her." I answer.

He rolls his eyes. “You’re seeing ghosts now, like conspiracies wasn't enough, fine? I'll give you a ride to the states."


Back home I try to figure this out. Ghosts usually come back because of unfinished business. But from what I could see Shi didn't go to her final reward when she took out Rishou. In fact there was some high Triad under bosses in Kyoto were slain. One of the hand Ninjas that survived claimed Shi was the one that killed them.

So what is going on? That is the question. Maybe I should talk to her known associates see if there is any unfinished business that would keep her on this Earthly plane.


I call the X- mansion and no answer there. , I call Nightwing to talk to Laura at the Outsiders turns out they are fighting the Brotherhood of Evil. So I go to New York and find out which hospital Danny Bailey is in.


I tried to talk to him as Vic Sage but he thought I was another reporter trying to make a story off her misery. He screamed for me to get out and I could have kicked myself for an idiot. Of course he doesn’t know Vic Sage from Adam.

I hide in janitor's closet. I press the button on my belt, and release the binary gas. My clothes change color and I stick my mask to my face. I really owe Tot for this stuff.


I walk in as the Question.

“Question? Is that you?"

"Yes I need to talk to you about Ana..."

"Ana, save Ana. Her Heart must be restored... “He slips back into a coma. It must have been too much for him all the stress.

Her heart? Curiouser and curiouser. Lucky for me I love a good mystery.

The Rishou Case PT1

I've taken this blog from Batman because well He really doesn't deserve another one. But I'm the leaving the posts from my ex teammates to chronicle this time in our lives, and why we left Batman's leadership.

I'm investigating the Rishou case as a promise to my fallen comrade in arms, Shi though she can't hear me where she is learning the answers to all questions. I look up the police files and along with Interpol Scotland Yard Etc, Etc.

There is really not much on this guy. He kills women based on a letter on of their name, he takes parts as trophies, and he's arrogant thinks law enforcement can't catch him.

Which may be true after he has actually hurt Supergirl oh sure to her it was like a mosquito bite, but us normal flesh and blood un-Girl of Steel types. That would hurt a lot if not out right kill.

So his inhuman power allowed him to beat Shi's skill. I look again at the criminal profile, FEH! This thing looks like it was written by a spider monkey. Actually a spider monkey would've been more coherent.

So I can't use that for investigative means. I'll have to look for other sources time to see an old friend/enemy. I found Lady Shiva fighting what looks like turtle men and killing them in New York.

When I emerge from the gaseous smoke cloud that adheres my mask on to my face, it gives enough distraction fro the green men to run into the sewers Ha! I knew it I said there were mutants in the sewers, But Green Arrow mocks me. Eat that you dead beat dad commie loser with a really stupid beard. !


Shiva gives me a snarl. “This had better be good Victor!"

“I didn't know you were into pest control Sandra."

“Those creatures were trained, albeit badly in the way of the ninja. They fought like yellow belts I was beginning to get bored." She Smiles. “So what do you want?"

The problem with Shiva is you don't know from one moment to the next if she’ll kiss you or smack you I have to be careful but I have to not waste her time. "Do you know anything about the serial Killer called Rishou?"

She looks me over. “And why are you interested in that maniac?"

"He killed a comrade in arms of mine."

She smiles “A pretty female no doubt."

“Well I will admit she was striking, yet she was into hairy cavemen from all indications."

“Well then Victor, he’s a Metahuman with no fighting ability whatsoever he claims to be the child of a god. And what he's doing will grant him god hood as well."

"Interesting. Any ideas where he could be?"

“None, what he does is the product of a truly sick mind no one can predict him."

“Thank you." I say as go back to my car.

“You owe me Victor!" She calls at me as I drive off. In the car I look at the files again are all his actions truly random? Is there a method to his madness? A pattern that only he sees?

Wait a second, all these women are connected somehow, Shi's went to the same gym as Rishou's first victim, and he saw Kara around Ana's apartment, though he didn't kill her. The "K" victim he did kill ate lunch next Kara in the airport.

He's on "L' who with the “L" initial is connected? As I'm pondering this, I hear Oracle's voice over my communicator “Be advised Laura Kinney aka X-23 has went missing in Kyoto Japan be on the look out."

Aha! Well looks like I'm going to Kyoto.

Supergirl: Is this the end of the Outlaws?

Shi is dead. Pretty much because she went in with a crazy ass plan that wouldn't work, and like no backup. Well maybe she wanted to die After the Logan thing who knows? But now I'm making myself the bait in Kyoto.

I've acting like the type he likes killing and being that he kills with names on the alphabet and his last victim’s name started with a "J' and mine stars with a "K" I knew he'd come after me sooner or later.

And he did. I walk down this dark alley, and this creepy dude grabs me, and puts a knife to my eyes. “Such pretty eyes, I don't think I've ever seen any that shade of blue before.

He rips open my shirt and his eyes go wide, no not because of my chest perverts he just realized who I am.

“You costumed freaks! Keep getting in the way of my holy work!" He slaps me on the face.

I grin. “That hurt sort of. My turn!" I hold back a lot on my back hand so I don't like splatter his head all over the wall. He flies to the other side of the alley. Turns out I should have ht him a bit harder, since he vanished, he was just poof! Gone!

I couldn't find him with my Super Vision, nor could I find him with my hearing. I put my hand on my face, he actually did hurt be a bit, Bullets bounce of me with out a tickle, and his punch felt like a blood wasp back on Krypton , not that painful but painful enough.

This boy isn't normal. I fly back to the Batcave to tell Bruce about it, and I hear Batman and Question arguing.

“You’re teaming with the enemy Bruce!"

“The Skrulls are the enemy now! Besides when he was in my office I scanned the armor in his bones. I also have a sample of the Extremis from his skin; I can defeat him anytime I want now."

“Ana is dead because of you!" Question yells swinging a fist that Bats catches. Then Batman elbows Question in the no-face. I get in between them. “Stop this we shouldn't fight with each other!"

Question stares, at least I think he does. “I forgot you registered didn't you? How did Superman feel about that?"

I roll my eyes. " Stark isn't that bad when you get to know him, SHHIELD Isn’t actually the evil empire you make them out to be, These damned Skrulls are really screwing it up for all of us. We like don't trust each other anymore. "

Question shakes his head. “We could never trust each other Those of us that did were delusional. And your problem Batman is that you spread yourself too thin. You protect Gotham, you work with the JLA, and you team up with Superman, and now you're going to help this future kid, defeat a future man. You try to everything Bats, and sometimes things slip through the cracks, this time it was Ana and her ill advised plan, next time it could be a nut with a city destroying bomb."

“Question you're out of line!" Batman growls.

“And you're out of time Batman; don't worry though I'll investigate the Rishou Case. You can get back to it whenever you have the time, and yes I'm finished being your puppet I've found I can do more by myself than hearing you yell into my ear with your gravelly voice. I'm done do what you want."

He walks out of the cave, While Scarlet Spider mumbles, "I've been thinking I haven't been doing enough, maybe I should find a city that needs a hero? Thanks for everything Bats, it's been real. "

Goku whined " I don't wanna work with Iron Man, he put my son in jail, he' bad news bye." He teleports out.

"Great first the Titans doesn't work out, now this team just fell apart." I complain.

Batman just looks over at me, “Don’t worry Kara I'll get you on a team."

“Hey can Nightwing be on it? Or maybe Hal Jordan?” I squeal. He just looks at me and makes that "Hh." noise then leaves with that other Batman from the future. Not sure what that means.

?:Weapon X, lies and no video tape.

I was sent watch Shi While Batman wand others were making her a very enticing bait. We’ve been spreading the story that She is pregnant with Wolverine's baby. I've been following her for days now And fianlly weapon X has made their move while she was going to a hospital for a checkup Bats knows for sure the doctor there is tied with Weapon X.

I made an excuse for Vic Sage to be there reporting on a story, And followed her around. Inside I notice some of that dye they use in X-rays. “You know this stuuf isn'r needed for X-rays it's there to put trackers inside people..."


Batman growls in my communications device. “Sage keep to the task at hand , and don't give me any conspiracy theories." Before I can give an answer Shi Is attacked by group of mercenary looking thugs.

I know she can fight and most likely beat them all her self but I had to find a ay to get into the facility So I jump into the fray. We both pretend to lose to them And I'm tasered and kicked around.

They looked through my wallet and when they saw I was a reporter. They decide to take me along So there'd be no publicity about taking a well known Vigilante, and trying to steal her baby.

So After being tasered I wake up later in the facility. As I had planned. I'm In a cell with two guards who start interrogating me with their fists. I surprised them when I slipped my handcuffs and punched them both on the jaws. Next thing they know I relase the binary gas in my belt confusing them I hastily stick my mask to my face and emerge as the Question.



“What the Hell? Sage is a Mutant?" One of them screams.

“No fool, Victor Sage is under my protection, I have sent him back home while I deal with you idiots." I'm pretty sure these morons will swallow that since my clothes, and hair are different colors after being exposed to the gas. While they are too stupified to move I knock them out. I steal one of their key cards and open my cell.

I find the vents and shimmy into them trying to find my way around the complex. I know Batman is going to send the others along here to Weapon X before long. My mission is to cut the security off, and find out as much as I can.


After going past labs bunkers, a cafeteria , and offices , I finally find the security computer. I walk up behind the guard, who turns around “What the Hell? Your face!"

“Bad shaving accident." I quip before punching him. I tie him up and lucky me this guy's so incompetent he had his password written on a pad. I take out all the security and the scrambling to our communicators.

“Question to the Boss. I'm in."

“Good. Has Shi escaped yet?" Batman asks.

“I don't know but I'm hacking Weapon X's main frame, and Oh my Lord." I gasp.

“What is it Question?"

“Looks as if Weapon X is not only enhancing and brainwashing mutants. They are keeping others whose powers they deem useless in concentration camps and exterminating them."


“What?" Batman shouts.

" Not only that, but they are enhancing mutants, and turning into soldiers for SHIELD, adding them to the Pro Reg heroes, seems the Registration Act maybe brought back and they want an extremely powerful army to put us all in the Negative Zone. "

“Good work Question; I'm sending the rest to shut them down."

Now I need to Find SHI , before the others get here

Son Goku: White Martian? Skrulls?

Wow I thought we were gonna fight some general guy, but he ends up turning into some kind of thing that looks like a T-rex had a baby with Xenomorph. Man! And it's power level is high. It knocked Question, and Shi right off.

For some reason when I tried to transform into a super saiyan. The white thing did something to my mind I couldn't concentrate, or get my self angry to transform,. all I can do was stare then he punched me out of the bunker.

He turned his attention to Kara. “You’re next Kryptonian Wench."

" Sticks and stones can't hurt me ugly, so names defiantly won't save you from the beating you're about to be on the other end of. "

First she fires her heat vision and he screams and but turns all liquidy and starts wrapping around her body.

Batman shouts in our communicators. “A White Martian? Damn it! I need ideas people!"

“We can feed it Hostess fruit pies." I suggest.

“Useful ideas” Bats growls. Man he is always so gloomy. I try to cheer him up but all he ever does is glare at me with those creepy all white lenses.

“It works in the comic advertisements." I mumble.

“Do these things have any weaknesses?" Scarlet Spider asks.

“Yes fire Scarlet Spider see if you can find anything that makes fire. " Bats orders. The Question seems to recover and burns the ooze with a lighter in his pocket.

It screams and releases Supergirl, and My mind clears I transform into a Super saiyan 5." Remember punching me through the wall a while ago? Now it's your turn." I declare.

Now it was my turn to pummel him / her / it, I can't really tell.

After beating it around a bit, not letting it get a chance to get in my head, again. Then after I fire a Kamehameha. This guy that's dressed up like another SHIELD agent Fires the gun that has a gas pellet that blows up in my face.

“Take that filthy Saiyan!"

I don't know what it is. But it makes cough too much to keep my ss5 form and I fall , Supergirl goes after the Martian again. Then I think of a way to stop the Martian while Scarlet Spider webs up the guy that shot me.

He gets all liquid too. I hope for a second he's not another White Martian, but he turns into this green thing.And falls out of the webs." Okaaay, Sci-fi feature creature let's see how you do with stingers."

These little spiked things shoot out of his web shooters and paralyze part of the guy's hands. Meanwhile more SHIELD soldiers attack our team. Now it's time to to concentrate on my plan. “Earth, animals, plants, please give some of your energy."

It takes a few minutes to gather it all. I struggle to get up and condense tghe energy into a Spirit bomb about the size of a football." Supergirl! Get out of the way! I yell before throwing it.

" Goku No Killing!" Batman orders in my communications piece.

“Don’t worry a Spirit Bomb that small can't kill something that powerful." I hits and really messes up the Martian guy in the confusion the Skrulls vanish. The Question sees some kind of thing attached to his neck.


" I think the boss will want to see this."

" So The Skrulls infiltrated SHIELD " Batman says later in the Penthouse he bought for these guys to live in. Though mostly only the Question And Scarlet Spider live there. "This device was somehow controlling the White Martians the Skrulls where trying to build an army of metahumans, Now I'll and this information to Fury and..."


"Fury!" Shouts Shi. “I thought we were going against SHIELD?!"

" We are but right now they are the most expedient way to get at the Skrulls, But don't worry I'm also sending this information to The JLA and The Avengers, We need to be rid of the Skrull threat first before anything else."


" But what about the registration?" SHi asks.

" The Act is pretty much dead, Hulk's rampage, and the whole outing of the "Illuminati" have taken a lot of trust away from Iron Man and SHILED. Don't worry though, Soon we will find the final nail in the Registration Act coffin. You all have done very well, take a couple of days off you all have earned it."

?: The answers bring more questions.

My curiosity has been my defining trait ever since I became the Question. Though that trait is not making my teammates all that happy. I was the one that discovered this conspiracy in Shield that has us here now.

I was hacking the computer files while the others were keeping the super solders off my back. Unfortunately I had a communications device in each ear. Batman in one, while Oracle was in another.

Oracle was reading these stupid fan fiction websites and telling me who people thought were together. All of them are wrong. “Spoiler and Batgirl? Bwhahahahahaha!”
I hear Barbra Laugh. It hurts my ear.

“When I taught them” I interrupt. “Batgirl only let one person near her comfort zone, any one else she punched in the face, and Spoiler was punched a lot. Also Stephanie is so into to Robin it’s almost funny. So who am I supposed to be with in their little fantasies?”

“Well since everyone thinks your dead…”

Batman growls into my other ear “This all very interesting.” I can tell from his tone he doesn’t believe it is all. “But Question isn’t there to play the Gossip Game. “

“Don’t worry I’m good at multitasking. “ I reassure. “So you were saying, Oracle?”

“Oh you faked your death. So no one really believes you’re with anyone. “

“I have a Question Oracle. Do you not have anything better to do?”

She changes the subject. “So why did you fake your Death?”

“That is the Question.”

She sighs. “You’re an annoying man Victor Sage.”


“You let your self get annoyed Miss Gordon.”

Supergirl shouts. “Aren’t you about finished Question? I’d like to actually get home tonight. “

I get passed the last firewall at that moment. “What are you worried about Kara you are invulnerable.”

I shrug and put in a disk I begin copying everything. I sit back and dodge a web ball from the Scarlet Spider. Finally it downloads. “Okay everyone we can go.”


After Goku teleports us all back, it takes me about three days to. Sift through all the data. I don’t like what I find.

Later.

“What do you mean Fury and Stark don’t know about the experiments?” Our new recruit Shi loudly queries. I assume she’s had a run in with SHIELD.

“Because as much as I’d love to find something to put Tony Stark away for the rest of his life. He’s not behind the super soldier? Cloning experiments, Etc. Is a colonel named Joseph Franks. He is planning something, something big. “

Batman glares. “Find out what Victor.”

The next day we fight our way through to Franks. “So what is this?” He smiles a creepy smile. “You super villains want to use me as a hostage? But none of you are truly villains are you? ”

How did he know that? He keeps smiling “So Batman is behind all this huh?”

“You’re a telepath.” I guess.

“Among other things” He laughs. “You are not going to bring me in for my crimes you know. In fact I will tear you apart.” In that second he becomes a White Martian. Huh. That answers some things, but brings up a whole bunch of other questions. Good thing for me I love answering those that is if we get out of this alive.

Scarlet Spider: I'm not getting any respect.

Okay first I get trained constantly. Batman says it's because I'm too rusty with my powers, but I think it's because I got a little roughed up by his little pet freak. Hey I thought I saw her hand glow for a second, and my spider sense went off.

I instinctually jumped out of the way of whatever it was, and she somehow knew what I was doing and kicked me through the window. Whish I had my web shooters on then it would have been a whole different story.

Who am I kidding? Bats is right, since I was saved from dying I've been watching TV all day, and eating lots of cheese puffs. But What Bats had me doing today.. well it's just degrading.

He had me escort this... thing. Not really sure what it is out of Gotham. It wouldn't shut up sceraming the whole way.

Turned out it wasn't in any danger. It was just brought to the destination to distract Aquaman away from the JLA meeting that was happening at that moment. You know why they won’t tell the lamer of the two fish men why they didn't want him there?

Because he cries when he isn't allowed at the meetings then he gets dehydrated, and well it's a mess. I wonder if he knows he's not in the JLA anymore? Well isn't the ol' Parker.. I mean Reilly luck that I told him they were trying to distract him and well you do not want to be around crying Aquaman believe me.


I swung away when he asked me to "hold him."

Now Bats is yelling at me about how I'm not supposed to talk to Aquaman. This bites.
