The Hydra Candiate case/ the case of the two Batgirls

Sometimes two things happen at once. After someone tried to shoot Jon, (it wasn't really him though it was some mutant called Mimic.) We stopped Danny Bailey. He insists he didn't do it; I had my old friend Richard Dragon takes a look at him.

I know he's not a telepath or anything but he knows people really well. So I leave them, and see what else is going on in the world I try to call Oracle... nothing that's strange.

I try to call others on Oracle's network the network is gone. What the hell looks like I need to check the Internet, and watch the news see if there's anything?

I find some news On Legacy... What the Barbra is with them as Batgirl? I use my old JLA membership card and get teleported to West City.


The city speaks to me saying that its life has been changed. That one of its protectors has been unwillingly changed. I rent a car, and find Vincent floating above the city. By the time I get there. Inertia has found him.

I hear them talk about how Things used to be.

I put on my mask use the gas to adhere it, and show my self to the boys, and about five minutes later Barbra shows up “Question what are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same question Oracle."

“Oracle? Who’s Oracle?" she asks, but I can tell there is a small familiarity.

"You are something changed reality. And apparently switched you, and Cassandra. This had a ripple effect With Jason Todd, and others."


She rolls her eyes. “Vic I know your Nightwing’s friend, and all but I did not need you infecting these children's minds with your insanity."

“They’re young adults, and I only see how things are Barbara, or one thing you have never been hostile towards me before."

She orders to go back to the Legacy house. Inertia and Vincent
They refuse. “Fine you two will realize just how crazy Question is." She drives on her cycle.

Vincent growls "I'm finding Cass; you two do what you want."

“So what's the plan faceless?"

“Run around the planet, and tell me what all has changed perhaps there will be a clue as to ho this was caused."

He's off in the blink of an eye. I'm going to need a base to work... I wonder if my old rat hole apartment is still here?

The HYDRA Candidate Case: Exctraction.

We were surrounded HYDRA agents everywhere. Ana was still struggling with Viper. Me on the other hand I'm pinned down with a bunch of laser gun wielding agents. Before they shoot me. Something tears through the walls.

“It’s about time you got here." I quip.



“Whatever." Broly remarks. You see Batman's mistake in his version of the Outlaws was using Son Goku mister superhero, and fair play. I contacted Broly the good version from an alternate Universe. Few know he's not the psychotic who rampaged through West City.

While the HYDRA agents are confused by this turn of events, Red Hood, Flamebird, and Scarlet Spider, jump into the fray. My version of the Outlaws. I thought the team of heroes pretending to be villains was a good idea; just that Batman shouldn't be the one running it.

Red Hood knocked a few down, and was about to stab one of then henchmen.

The Spider webs him before He stabs the Hydra Agent. “No Killing!" Reilly yells.

“Grow up!" Hood gripes.

Flamebird who really I chose because most people see her obsession as Nightwing as insane and well she is wanted for breaking the restraining order Grayson has on her several times knocks out Viper from behind. Ana gives me an angry look , as we run out of the HYDRA base.

I ignore it, and look around to find where Todd and the saiyan went to. I find them in what I guess is the treasury room. They were taking money out of it. “Stealing is wrong!"

“Stealing from terrorists? I see no problem with that." Jason snaps. “Man my older brother was right about you Flamebird you are annoying."

She Grins. “You were a Robin?' Will you have sex with me?"


“What? No! I have a girlfriend... I mean we had this phase where we had affairs, but not anymore. Any way with this I’ll get to buy her s good present."

Scarlet Spider groans. “We’re stealing now?"

“Yes go ahead. We're supposed to be criminals. Oh and take some high tech weaponry too. Hurry up I tipped off SHIELD."


Todd grins “Sweet!"

After we get our haul back. We go to the plane. “You have a jet? Where did you steal this from?" Ana asks.

“Actually Batman was going to give it to the old Outlaws. You died before he gave it to us."

We fly out of there as SHILELD cruisers attack the HYDRA base. Flame bird looks over at the Hood. “Will you have sex with me now?"

“No!"

“Please?”

"No!"

"Please?"

“No!"


Ana growls" this was your plan to get me into the outlaws again wasn't it Vic?"

“No. You already told me you didn't want to play the war games anymore. I seriously didn't want it to go this far. But the Outlaws where a means to an end."

“Okay.” Ana calms down." So what’s their plan?"

“Assassination of Jon the Intergalactic Gladiator and Iron Man."

“Well Iron Man ... who cares?" Ana States. “But we need to save Jon."

I give her the plan's details. I copied off the computer. After reading she asks “Are we taking them?"


“No. “I respond.”They are too um conspicuous. It'd be easier if it's just the two of us."


Agreed." she answers for the rest of the way we keep hearing “Please?" and “no!" Until they drop us off, at Washington DC.

So I had Shi dressed up as Madame HYDRA.AKA Viper, AKA Wolverine's ex wife.

I find a little humour in that actually. Any way I had her go into the The HYDRA strategy meeting I snuck around, and listened to her on the communicator." Um well let's go our fiendish plan fellow evil doers!" She melodramatically states in a voice like Natasha from Rocky, and Bullwinkle. Sigh.I can only work with what I have.

" Mistress! What's wrong with your voice?" One of the HYDRA soldiers asks.

" Um Ah. I have a head cold." She stutters.

" A head cold turned you Asian?" Another one questioned.

" Um ah... Do not question Viper or should I put you in the room of ah... horrible things?"

" Whew nice save I knock out a few guards , and hack into HYDRA's mainframe.while still listening in. " So do you want to tell me about me how we're doing on our totally evil , and nasty plan?" Ana says.

" You were supposed to tell us Madame HYDRA." Another soldier speaks up. Oh you have go to be kidding me. I hate it when a plan falls a part.Doesn't ,matter though I find the files on this and, it turns out they're going to kill presidential candidates, and their first target's are these two.





After discovering this it's time to get out of here, I disguise myself , as a HYDRA Agent, and am about to extract Ana when the worst possible thing happens. The real Viper appears.

" Who is this impostor? Kill her!" The agents are all confused good. I let the binary gas out of my belt , and put on my mask let's let them be a little more confused.

Together we knock down most of the rif raff, But Viper seems to almost be Shi's equal, and worse other henchmen coming.

" This is another fine mess you've gotten us into Question."
I push a button on a communicator. She looks over " What was that?"


" Plan B." I state.

" What's plan B?"

" If we're lucky we'll survive long enough for it to get here."

The HYDRA Candidate Case: The truth is out there

I hear from my van in the dark alley That Ana is in trouble. I go in the hospital acting like my old friend the bum. I was yelling gibberish, letting people think I had escaped from the mental ward.

Lucky I had Ana tell me at all times Tell me where she was. “Burst into the room, as the dirty doctor was about to kill Ana.

“I’m a tree wizard!" I announce. He turns and I smack him in the face with a bed pan. While yelling "Shazam!"

I smile at Ana. "I see London I see France I see your underpants."

She groans.

“I know the question you are asking. Why isn't he untying me? Well that bed pan was used and I'm pretty sure you don't you want to be soiled let me wash my hands and I'll be right with you I turn , and wash.

Next thing I know Ana is talking. “No the question I was about to ask is des your girlfriend know your such a pervert?"

“Ah so you do have the skills to free yourself." I dodge the question, until she keeps staring at me. “Well the Huntress would ask if she could join actually."

“The alien bounty hunter?” Ana asks.

“No. Different Huntress, Italian One of the Birds of Prey."

I take the doctor's coat put it on. Me and Ana put him in a wheel chair and take him out of the hospital with no one the wiser. Later at the safe house I'm in my mask as he wakes up. “Oh please the Question's dead whoever you are."

“Maybe I'm dead, and am about to take you to Hell for your sins." I try being spooky.

“Right whatever, here's all I have to say. Cut off a head two more will take its place! Hail HYDRA!"

I take out a needle. “Yeah I've heard that before. Not really interested. In this needle is an advanced form of Sodium Pentothal. In layman's term Truth Serum. You'll tell me and Shi here your dirty little secrets. "

In fifteen minutes he mutters." I wet the bed."

"Some children do that. Now... tell me..."

“No I mean last night. I also pay for women to tickle me."

I shake my head. “When I said dirty little secrets I meant what HYDRA's planning not the secret life of DR. Pathetic." Finally he starts to tell spill for us.

The HYDRA canidate case: little problem.

Ana is going into the HYDRA front hospital. She'll see what I mean soon enough. I sit in a van I borrowed from a friend. I have plenty of surveillance equipment, and a two way radio in Ana's ear I'm about to give her some directions when a voice startles me out of my train of thought.

“I’m Cheese Whiz!"

“What?" I shout some crazy bum had gotten into man, and was yelling gibberish. “Sir could you please leave I'm doing something very important."


“I’m a tree wizard! I'll get rid of those tress for you!" he rants.

“There are no trees!" I yell.

“Alabama Alabama!"

"It's over there!" I shout he wandered to the Arby's across the street. He’s their problem now I lock the door.

Ana makes a sighing noise. “I knew you were crazy, but that rant... wow."

“What? It wasn't me!" I protest... "never mind here’s what you'll do."

The Shi Ghost Case closed: A Brand New Day? I hope not.

So SHI is now free, but Lady Death somehow erased the memories of Ana and Logan's relationship. She must be hanging around Mephisto now. Another retcon oh joy. The Lady left us in New York where apparently Logan still works security at Oike Gallery.

"Yeah I should probably just resign bub."

“Is that what you really want?" I ask.

“I can't just sit'ere an' Flamin' watch her and Daredevil."

“Doesn’t seem a very ... um happy couple to me Logan." I observe.

“Murdock, an' Ana ain't a very likely couple, but then again, I seen a saiyan, and Batgirl together. Now that's Flamin' odd."

I shake my head. "I believe Robin actually knew what he was doing when he introduced those two... Then again I may be a bit biased, having taught them, and their friends. But no observe Ana's actions... She is not too happy."

“Whatever Mystery Man. Its better this way... ya know. She probably won't die again like she would have if I stayed with her."

“Weren’t you broken up the first time she died?" I query.

"Yeah but damn... yer right."

“Seems kind of waste of time afraid of something that may happen anyway then, you’re not going to pull a Spider-Man are you?"

" Eh? What does Parker have ta do wit' this?" He gives me an odd look.


"He basically sold his marriage to the Devil. Retconned it out...it never happened."

“An’ ya know this how?" He responds. “No wait lemme guess that is the Question."

"You're beginning to learn. What you do with your life, is your concern. My participation in this affair is over. "

I get some sleep at fleabag motel room. They say dreams tell you things that you that you missed in the waking world. In my dreams New York itself tells me my work isn't done here. That I must seek the protégé'.

I try to figure out what that means until I drink my morning coffee. Of course Bailey! I start investigating the hospital where he was in a coma. After a few days I find it is attached to sinister forces. It’s a HYDRA front; they are creating sleeper agents from the patient population.

I need back up for this back to Oike Gallery, after I use the gas to adhere the mask to my face. I find myself back at the gallery; Logan is still working security, and looks he decided not to go the Spider-Man route.

Ana rolls her eyes. “Could you please not come in here with your mask on Mr. Sage?"

“What’s this loon doing here?" Murdock asks. “Ana are you cheating on me?"

I laugh. "I think you’re projecting your faults onto her, Matt. You cheat so every one else cheats as well am I right?"

He throws a stiff right that I block. “You’re friend Stick could learn a few things from my friend Richard Dragon."

Ana stops him. "Matt I'll see you later..."

“But?"

“LATER! Okay Vic, I told Batman I was finished with him, and his little group, I'm not interested in his war games anymore. "

“Batman’s managerial style rubbed the rest of us the wrong way as well I'm a free agent again.”

She relaxes a little. “Then why are you here?"

"It's about your friend Danny Bailey..."

The Shi Ghost case: Heart of the problem

After doing some research I found that Ana's heart needs to be given to her to free her from the slavery of Lady Death. Half of LD has. The other half Logan has in his room at the X-mansion.

I made my way there, and pretended to be a cable repair man to get in. Well after I cut their cable. I pass some yelling about saving his native land. I notice Jean, and Emma watching me, like they suspect something is wrong with me I feel them in my head. I transmit thoughts of having a three way with the two. What? If Helena can have little flings I can at least think about them, I don't count the thing with Shiva... that's just weird, even for me.

Jean gave me a look of disgust, Emma gave me her number. I find Wolverine's room rather easily; it's the one with the stench of cigars, cheap whiskey, and old beer, and something I can't really identify.

I search through the disaster zone that is his room, and find pizza that time forgot. But not the heart, when I hear a small growling noise, I dodge two Adamntium claws, and kick the assailant in the gut.

I'm a little surprised to find it was a dark haired girl, about eighteen." bub I don't know what you're doin' here, but ya ain't no cable repairman."

She flails her claws I throw a punch not knowing she was actually suckering me in. She grabs my fist and head butts me in the nose after reeling a bit I'm almost stabbed with metal claw from her feet.

The way she kicked looked familiar, Nightwing. Of course she's his protégé' and likely bed mate, If I know Mister Grayson. I catch her with a couple of jabs. Then a nice Upper cut, while she's stunned a knee to the gut drops her, though I should have expected her to get right back up stupid healing factor.

She catches me with a somersault that knocks me on the floor. “Wait I know ya. Sniff Sniff! Yer the Batboy's friend, the faceless conspiracy nut."

"I prefer the Question." I reply.

She snorts “Isn’t that a girl?"

“She’s my Student, like your Grayson's." I explain the whole heart thing to her, and Laura takes it out of a secret compartment.

“If ya can help Ana then take it."

After reconnecting the cable, then leaving, I have the Phantom Stranger take me to Lady Death's dimension. He lost to me at poker I suppose you can say I have the best poker face.

When I'm teleported there I find this scene.


Nice. They talk about how they will have a three way with Logan, great I walked into the middle of a porn movie; wait according to my research if he does that Shi will be Death’s servant forever.

The Rishou Case Closed?

Wolverine, Laura, and someone killed Rishou Okay I shot him with the gun from the Crime Bible case. But Batman was not a happy camper. “We didn't come here to commit murder Question."


“Wolverine didn't do it, he tried but he didn't succeed Bruce, the one who gained vengeance is far above our judgment now."

“What is that supposed to mean?" Batman asks.

“Shi’s ghost gained her vengeance on the psycho that killed her." I answer.

He rolls his eyes. “You’re seeing ghosts now, like conspiracies wasn't enough, fine? I'll give you a ride to the states."


Back home I try to figure this out. Ghosts usually come back because of unfinished business. But from what I could see Shi didn't go to her final reward when she took out Rishou. In fact there was some high Triad under bosses in Kyoto were slain. One of the hand Ninjas that survived claimed Shi was the one that killed them.

So what is going on? That is the question. Maybe I should talk to her known associates see if there is any unfinished business that would keep her on this Earthly plane.


I call the X- mansion and no answer there. , I call Nightwing to talk to Laura at the Outsiders turns out they are fighting the Brotherhood of Evil. So I go to New York and find out which hospital Danny Bailey is in.


I tried to talk to him as Vic Sage but he thought I was another reporter trying to make a story off her misery. He screamed for me to get out and I could have kicked myself for an idiot. Of course he doesn’t know Vic Sage from Adam.

I hide in janitor's closet. I press the button on my belt, and release the binary gas. My clothes change color and I stick my mask to my face. I really owe Tot for this stuff.


I walk in as the Question.

“Question? Is that you?"

"Yes I need to talk to you about Ana..."

"Ana, save Ana. Her Heart must be restored... “He slips back into a coma. It must have been too much for him all the stress.

Her heart? Curiouser and curiouser. Lucky for me I love a good mystery.

The Rishou Case PT1

I've taken this blog from Batman because well He really doesn't deserve another one. But I'm the leaving the posts from my ex teammates to chronicle this time in our lives, and why we left Batman's leadership.

I'm investigating the Rishou case as a promise to my fallen comrade in arms, Shi though she can't hear me where she is learning the answers to all questions. I look up the police files and along with Interpol Scotland Yard Etc, Etc.

There is really not much on this guy. He kills women based on a letter on of their name, he takes parts as trophies, and he's arrogant thinks law enforcement can't catch him.

Which may be true after he has actually hurt Supergirl oh sure to her it was like a mosquito bite, but us normal flesh and blood un-Girl of Steel types. That would hurt a lot if not out right kill.

So his inhuman power allowed him to beat Shi's skill. I look again at the criminal profile, FEH! This thing looks like it was written by a spider monkey. Actually a spider monkey would've been more coherent.

So I can't use that for investigative means. I'll have to look for other sources time to see an old friend/enemy. I found Lady Shiva fighting what looks like turtle men and killing them in New York.

When I emerge from the gaseous smoke cloud that adheres my mask on to my face, it gives enough distraction fro the green men to run into the sewers Ha! I knew it I said there were mutants in the sewers, But Green Arrow mocks me. Eat that you dead beat dad commie loser with a really stupid beard. !


Shiva gives me a snarl. “This had better be good Victor!"

“I didn't know you were into pest control Sandra."

“Those creatures were trained, albeit badly in the way of the ninja. They fought like yellow belts I was beginning to get bored." She Smiles. “So what do you want?"

The problem with Shiva is you don't know from one moment to the next if she’ll kiss you or smack you I have to be careful but I have to not waste her time. "Do you know anything about the serial Killer called Rishou?"

She looks me over. “And why are you interested in that maniac?"

"He killed a comrade in arms of mine."

She smiles “A pretty female no doubt."

“Well I will admit she was striking, yet she was into hairy cavemen from all indications."

“Well then Victor, he’s a Metahuman with no fighting ability whatsoever he claims to be the child of a god. And what he's doing will grant him god hood as well."

"Interesting. Any ideas where he could be?"

“None, what he does is the product of a truly sick mind no one can predict him."

“Thank you." I say as go back to my car.

“You owe me Victor!" She calls at me as I drive off. In the car I look at the files again are all his actions truly random? Is there a method to his madness? A pattern that only he sees?

Wait a second, all these women are connected somehow, Shi's went to the same gym as Rishou's first victim, and he saw Kara around Ana's apartment, though he didn't kill her. The "K" victim he did kill ate lunch next Kara in the airport.

He's on "L' who with the “L" initial is connected? As I'm pondering this, I hear Oracle's voice over my communicator “Be advised Laura Kinney aka X-23 has went missing in Kyoto Japan be on the look out."

Aha! Well looks like I'm going to Kyoto.

Supergirl: Is this the end of the Outlaws?

Shi is dead. Pretty much because she went in with a crazy ass plan that wouldn't work, and like no backup. Well maybe she wanted to die After the Logan thing who knows? But now I'm making myself the bait in Kyoto.

I've acting like the type he likes killing and being that he kills with names on the alphabet and his last victim’s name started with a "J' and mine stars with a "K" I knew he'd come after me sooner or later.

And he did. I walk down this dark alley, and this creepy dude grabs me, and puts a knife to my eyes. “Such pretty eyes, I don't think I've ever seen any that shade of blue before.

He rips open my shirt and his eyes go wide, no not because of my chest perverts he just realized who I am.

“You costumed freaks! Keep getting in the way of my holy work!" He slaps me on the face.

I grin. “That hurt sort of. My turn!" I hold back a lot on my back hand so I don't like splatter his head all over the wall. He flies to the other side of the alley. Turns out I should have ht him a bit harder, since he vanished, he was just poof! Gone!

I couldn't find him with my Super Vision, nor could I find him with my hearing. I put my hand on my face, he actually did hurt be a bit, Bullets bounce of me with out a tickle, and his punch felt like a blood wasp back on Krypton , not that painful but painful enough.

This boy isn't normal. I fly back to the Batcave to tell Bruce about it, and I hear Batman and Question arguing.

“You’re teaming with the enemy Bruce!"

“The Skrulls are the enemy now! Besides when he was in my office I scanned the armor in his bones. I also have a sample of the Extremis from his skin; I can defeat him anytime I want now."

“Ana is dead because of you!" Question yells swinging a fist that Bats catches. Then Batman elbows Question in the no-face. I get in between them. “Stop this we shouldn't fight with each other!"

Question stares, at least I think he does. “I forgot you registered didn't you? How did Superman feel about that?"

I roll my eyes. " Stark isn't that bad when you get to know him, SHHIELD Isn’t actually the evil empire you make them out to be, These damned Skrulls are really screwing it up for all of us. We like don't trust each other anymore. "

Question shakes his head. “We could never trust each other Those of us that did were delusional. And your problem Batman is that you spread yourself too thin. You protect Gotham, you work with the JLA, and you team up with Superman, and now you're going to help this future kid, defeat a future man. You try to everything Bats, and sometimes things slip through the cracks, this time it was Ana and her ill advised plan, next time it could be a nut with a city destroying bomb."

“Question you're out of line!" Batman growls.

“And you're out of time Batman; don't worry though I'll investigate the Rishou Case. You can get back to it whenever you have the time, and yes I'm finished being your puppet I've found I can do more by myself than hearing you yell into my ear with your gravelly voice. I'm done do what you want."

He walks out of the cave, While Scarlet Spider mumbles, "I've been thinking I haven't been doing enough, maybe I should find a city that needs a hero? Thanks for everything Bats, it's been real. "

Goku whined " I don't wanna work with Iron Man, he put my son in jail, he' bad news bye." He teleports out.

"Great first the Titans doesn't work out, now this team just fell apart." I complain.

Batman just looks over at me, “Don’t worry Kara I'll get you on a team."

“Hey can Nightwing be on it? Or maybe Hal Jordan?” I squeal. He just looks at me and makes that "Hh." noise then leaves with that other Batman from the future. Not sure what that means.

?:Weapon X, lies and no video tape.

I was sent watch Shi While Batman wand others were making her a very enticing bait. We’ve been spreading the story that She is pregnant with Wolverine's baby. I've been following her for days now And fianlly weapon X has made their move while she was going to a hospital for a checkup Bats knows for sure the doctor there is tied with Weapon X.

I made an excuse for Vic Sage to be there reporting on a story, And followed her around. Inside I notice some of that dye they use in X-rays. “You know this stuuf isn'r needed for X-rays it's there to put trackers inside people..."


Batman growls in my communications device. “Sage keep to the task at hand , and don't give me any conspiracy theories." Before I can give an answer Shi Is attacked by group of mercenary looking thugs.

I know she can fight and most likely beat them all her self but I had to find a ay to get into the facility So I jump into the fray. We both pretend to lose to them And I'm tasered and kicked around.

They looked through my wallet and when they saw I was a reporter. They decide to take me along So there'd be no publicity about taking a well known Vigilante, and trying to steal her baby.

So After being tasered I wake up later in the facility. As I had planned. I'm In a cell with two guards who start interrogating me with their fists. I surprised them when I slipped my handcuffs and punched them both on the jaws. Next thing they know I relase the binary gas in my belt confusing them I hastily stick my mask to my face and emerge as the Question.



“What the Hell? Sage is a Mutant?" One of them screams.

“No fool, Victor Sage is under my protection, I have sent him back home while I deal with you idiots." I'm pretty sure these morons will swallow that since my clothes, and hair are different colors after being exposed to the gas. While they are too stupified to move I knock them out. I steal one of their key cards and open my cell.

I find the vents and shimmy into them trying to find my way around the complex. I know Batman is going to send the others along here to Weapon X before long. My mission is to cut the security off, and find out as much as I can.


After going past labs bunkers, a cafeteria , and offices , I finally find the security computer. I walk up behind the guard, who turns around “What the Hell? Your face!"

“Bad shaving accident." I quip before punching him. I tie him up and lucky me this guy's so incompetent he had his password written on a pad. I take out all the security and the scrambling to our communicators.

“Question to the Boss. I'm in."

“Good. Has Shi escaped yet?" Batman asks.

“I don't know but I'm hacking Weapon X's main frame, and Oh my Lord." I gasp.

“What is it Question?"

“Looks as if Weapon X is not only enhancing and brainwashing mutants. They are keeping others whose powers they deem useless in concentration camps and exterminating them."


“What?" Batman shouts.

" Not only that, but they are enhancing mutants, and turning into soldiers for SHIELD, adding them to the Pro Reg heroes, seems the Registration Act maybe brought back and they want an extremely powerful army to put us all in the Negative Zone. "

“Good work Question; I'm sending the rest to shut them down."

Now I need to Find SHI , before the others get here

Son Goku: White Martian? Skrulls?

Wow I thought we were gonna fight some general guy, but he ends up turning into some kind of thing that looks like a T-rex had a baby with Xenomorph. Man! And it's power level is high. It knocked Question, and Shi right off.

For some reason when I tried to transform into a super saiyan. The white thing did something to my mind I couldn't concentrate, or get my self angry to transform,. all I can do was stare then he punched me out of the bunker.

He turned his attention to Kara. “You’re next Kryptonian Wench."
